AFTER ALL THESE YEARS

They are a four-piece original country/bluegrass band from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The band was formed in 2001 by brothers Todd and Darrell Lesage, both seasoned musicians that had never played in the same band together although they both toured extensively throughout Canada and the U.S. for ten years each….hence the name AFTER ALL THESE YEARS. With Bryan Beernaerts on the dobro and lead guitars and Travis Haugen on the bass guitar the band has a well-rounded sound with captivating melodies and harmony work. To date the band tours four to five times a year, mostly in Western Canada and the Southern states, mainly in Tennessee, Louisiana and Mississippi. They seem to have a knack for winning over any live crowd at the live performances while they let the songs speak for themselves.

LISTEN TO WHAT THE PRESS IS SAYING ABOUT AFTER ALL THESE YEARS.

“After All These Years is noteworthy for its ability to create a mournful atmosphere perfect for tales of lost friends and heartache.”
Uptown Magazine, June 2005

“After All These Years deals with age old topics like love, loss, life and death however the brother's vocal harmonies and the bands' pretty acoustic melodies mixed with flourishes of keyboards and slide guitar make for a captivating and unique sound.”
Country Music News, November 2003

“After All These Years has come here to represent - the Everyman and Woman! Doctor, lawyer, beggar man, thief, every one has parallel dreams, regrets, friends and family, with stories to share. After All These Years stirs up those stories and emotions by wearing their hearts on their sleeves like a badge of honor. Much like Springsteen, Cash, Mellancamp, and Stompin Tom Connors, who transcend musical genres and prejudices, lyricist Todd Lesage has the ability to capture those very feelings and experiences that know no social or economic bound. Hectors Place is country music in it's truest form, of the people, for the people, riff-laden, toe tapping rhythm with honest harmony and hum able melodies. It plays like a friendly conversation over a few beers.”
Bruce Tulloch, Stylus magazine, October 2005

Sounds a bit like The Marshall Tucker Band meets Blue Rodeo.
....not too bad.
- Daryl Faulkner at Nettwerk Music
- In response to single release “Long Road”

I love it. It's sloppy and cool and would easily fit into my record collection. I also can't pick hits, but I think it's terrific and a great vocal.
Joel Stewart, Murder Inc.
In response to single release “Long Road”

In addition to seemlessly melding their Flatt and Scruggs, Johnny Cash and Lynard Skynard influences, local act AFTER ALL THESE YEARS can probably lay claim to being the only country band to reference the town of Gypsumville in one of their songs. Yay, local geography! - THE WINNIPEG SUN NEWSPAPER under BEST BETS for live shows, 2008.

"Yeeehawww. Fork the shit outta the barn Billy-Bob, we gonna have us a pardy. This here After All Doze Beers band plays some mighty fine two-steppin', two-hittin' , two-four drinkin' music. Pop it in the player Billy-Bob and see fer yerself. That ther Put That Bottle Down song reminds me a bit of that hurtin' Albertan., waz his name Billy-Bob?  Ah, don't matter.  Hillbilly Heartache, that's anutter gooder. Play that ther Last Night one more time.  Whoo-wee!  That ther Jaxon Haldane feller can pluck a banjo almost as good  as he can a chicken.  Put your good britches on Billy-Bob. I reckon we'll header to town and find us some likker cause I feel like dancin'.
